Arvo Ojala Marked Colt Third Generation Single Action Army Revolver .45 Colt Nickel Fast Draw Custom

This Colt Third Generation Single Action Army revolver is a custom fast draw-oriented example associated with legendary Hollywood firearms instructor and fast draw expert Arvo Ojala. Chambered in .45 Colt and manufactured in 1979, the revolver features “ARVO OJALA” engraved on the backstrap, connecting it to one of the most recognized gun handlers in film and television Western history. Ojala famously trained actors including Clint Eastwood and numerous Hollywood performers in fast draw techniques during the golden era of Western cinema.

The revolver retains approximately 99% restored nickel finish and presents extremely well overall with only minor handling wear visible. It is fitted with attractive faux stag grips featuring dark synthetic spacers and realistic texturing designed to resemble natural stag antler. The reverse side of the grips includes a previous owner inscription dated 1982, adding additional period character to the revolver’s history.

Several modifications indicate this revolver was purpose-built for exhibition or fast draw use. Features include a quick draw hammer, lightened mainspring, tuned action job, and replacement front sight that was regulated prior to refinishing.
